En este libro Versos para Van Gogh, José Luis Marín Aranda, poeta y pintor, homenajea a Vincent van Gogh en el 130º aniversario de su muerte a través de sesenta poemas y veintiuna ilustraciones inspirados en obras escogidas del maestro holandés, al tiempo que recorre su vida, profundiza en su alma y recupera su voz a través de las cartas que escribió el pintor.
Francisco Gutiérrez Carbajo, catedrático de literatura española y académico de la Academia de las Artes Escénicas de España, en un interesantísimo prólogo, comenta: “Basta echar una ojeada a la vieja tradición, que se inicia en Homero, para convencernos de que la poesía y la pintura han marchado siempre juntas, en fraternal emulación de metas y medios de expresión. (…) Demostrarlo es el reto sustancial que se ha planteado Marín Aranda en este libro, y que ha superado con gran sabiduría y absoluta solvencia”.
